About Ballyhoo

Founded in 2018 by Samantha Rasnake Cupples, Ballyhoo Communications represents the combination and culmination of 20+ years' experience combining the art and science of communications and fundraising for a variety of membership organizations, foundations and non-profit groups.

Sam spent the early part of her career managing communications and marketing initiatives in the membership association space. She was then offered an opportunity to apply that communications expertise to help grow a fundraising platform for a large, national medical research foundation and, thus, became a fundraiser - eventually helping that foundation establish and grow a robust annual giving campaign, as well as advance and close a multi-million dollar capital campaign.

Along the way, Sam discovered that her time as a communications professional made her a better fundraiser, and conversely, her time as a fundraiser made her a better communicator. Most recently, she has proven that theory true serving as a Director of Communications and Development for a national foundation in Washington, DC. Now based in the Glasgow area of Scotland, Sam works with clients in both the USA and UK.

The combination of her varied professional roles and experience sets her apart as a unique asset for those organizations seeking to seamlessly integrate their Communications, Marketing and Development efforts to achieve results.

Equal parts science and art - but certainly all passion and heart. Let Ballyhoo Communications give your communications and/or fundraising project the fanfare it deserves!
